This year at the Dewey Church of Christ we are doing a series of word studies covering the breadth of the Gospel Message. We will begin with a series of words about our Creator, starting with the most basic: God.

Jesus was not always called “Jesus”; the second figure of the triune God reveals himself in myriad ways in scripture. We begin a new series on “The Fourfold Jesus” with the first aspect of this person: Jesus the Creator.

We are told in Romans 1 that at least some part of God’s divine nature can be known through “the things that are made”. What is the nature of deity, and how much of it can we really know?

To understand the letters to the churches in Revelation 2-3, we need to understand their author. Who is Jesus? Not who was Jesus, as depicted in the gospels, but who is Jesus, the savior we serve today and now? In Revelation 1:9-20 we see a Jesus that many might find unfamiliar.
