When God Says No

The last month has been a crucible. Born out of that crucible are about six sermon ideas that we will work through together in the wake of Stan’s death. This first sermon is one I stole from Doug Burleson and then slightly modified for my own use. Hebrews 11 is typically considered one of the great chapters of the Bible, the “Hall of Faith”. Before we can dig into the faithful men and women of history, we must first examine faith itself: what is faith, what does it mean to have faith, and why does it matter?

Overcoming Hypocrisy

Much has been said about what hypocrisy is and why it is bad, but perhaps there are a few questions that need to be addressed: what do I do when I see hypocrisy in the church? How do I make sure it doesn’t destroy my faith? And how do I talk to non-Christians about it in an honest way?
