Judgment and Hope in Isaiah

In our journey through the Bible this year, we have come to Isaiah, one of the longest and most-referenced books of the Old Testament. Here is a general outline and overview of Isaiah’s prophecies. There are many ways you could categorize and organize his visions, but I think the judgment-hope axis is particularly enlightening. I hope this helps your study of Isaiah!

A Prayer for Knowledge

The letter to the Ephesians begins with deeply complex and important issues. Perhaps this is why the second section of the letter is about a prayer for knowledge and understanding. What is it that Paul wants his readers to understand?

Words of Life: FAITH

Faith is such a central part of our gospel response. What is faith, and how does it manifest in our lives? NOTE: There is a strange audio glitch in the later part of the sermon. It will go away. Sorry about that.

By Faith, Not by Sight

This sermon is composed entirely of scripture, blended together to get a feel for what a letter written to the church today might sound like. The ancient words hold just as much meaning for us as they did for them.
