Here are a couple of overviews of the timelines of the creation of the Old and New Testaments. Note that the narrative books (Law and History in the OT, Gospels and Acts in the NT) are placed on the timeline relative to the events they describe, not relative to when they were written. There are a lot of laws concerning lamb sacrifices in the Old Testament. What was the point, and what can we learn about the sacrifice of the True Lamb by looking at these laws?
